Manx Loaghtan Sheep Breed Society Limited (MLSBS) was formed in 1976 on the Isle Of Man by various members of the islands community.
The Breed’s survival is due to one man, the late Jack Quine, who had the vision to keep fifty breeding ewes in the second half of the 20th century, from which the basis of today’s Manx Loaghtan sheep descend from.
You don’t have to be a farmer or keeper of the Manx Loaghtan, if you’re interested in the perpetuation of the breed, eat the meat, use the wool and sheepskins, take photographs, use the images or just enjoy watching them, get in touch. click for membership details
There is no membership fee but a voluntary annual donation to the Society would be gratefully received.
